Who Qualifies for Lap-Band Surgery?
- Patients with BMI>40
- Patients with BMI 35-40 with comorbidities (high blood pressure, diabetes, arthritis, reflux or sleep apnea)
- Patients age 18 to 64
Patients selection Criteria:
- Patients without:
- Organ Failure (severe congestive heart failure, end stage renal disease, severe liver disease)
- An organ transplant
- Significant cardiac or pulmonary impairment
- Patients must be ambulatory
