Who Qualifies for ReShape LAP-BAND Program® Surgery?
- Patients with BMI>40
- Patients with BMI 35-40 with comorbidities (high blood pressure, diabetes, arthritis, reflux or sleep apnea)
- Patients age 18 to 65
Patients are currently not eligible if they fall into the following categories:
- Patients on chronic high doses of steroids
- Patients with Crohn’s disease
- Patients with a BMI >60
- Patients with previous gastric bypass/stapling or nissen fundoplication will be evaluated on a case by case basis
